Art & Design

As an artist, I am interested in investigating the interaction between the visual arts, science, and social justice. While most of my art is on paper, I've been increasingly drawn to digital media and graphic design. Scroll down to view some of my recent projects.

Women in Science

I am interested in pursuing the intersection of art and science specifically through representation of women in science.

Adobe Illustrator CC Tutorials

Check out my Adobe Illustrator CC tutorials, specifically made for scientists seeking a basic introduction to the program. These videos were made to assist scientists in making posters, infographics, and art to communicate their science.

These videos were made as a part of a 3-workshop series hosted by STAR (Science Teaching Through Art), a student organization at Stanford University.

Increasingly, I've become interesting in exposing scientists to ways they can better communicate their science through art. For my lab, I've generated a series of easy-to-use graphics depicting various organisms in our study system (nectar yeasts of plants native to Northern California) for use in figures, posters, and presentations.
